Phasels December Camp 2018

Date: 11th Dec 2018 Author: Scott McCreeth

Over 30 Cubs, Scouts and Leaders went on a Winter Camp to Phasels Wood in December, and although the weather was cold, and raining at times it didn’t dampen the spirits of all involved!

Everyone that went had a fantastic time and highly recommended it to their friends and fellow Scouts, they participated in many activities including rock climbing, archery, pedal car racing and plenty of games to fill the time.

They learnt Scouting skills such as firefighting and knot tying by creating fantastic stretcher on which they carried each other around the campsite. However, they also learnt skills for life such as teamworking and communicating with each other, it is safe to say that although the Cubs and Scouts enjoyed themselves, they also all learnt new skills that weekend.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
